Opening in early 2007, Mark Grohman’s vision was to create an upscale restaurant with casual elegance in a non pretentious atmosphere. The cuisine is inspired by the bright flavors of the Northen Mediterranean, as well as local, organic, and seasonal ingredients. Everything is made in-house, from breads and hand rolled pasta to house-made sausages and mozzarella. You can come in for the full dining experience or relax around the bar and enjoy our tapas menu. Meridian Restaurant is the Triad’s destination for world class cuisine.

Mark began his career as a self taught Chef working at restaurants in the 90’s while studying aviation in college. Mark first gained a great appreciation for how food is grown and prepared while growing up in a military family in Germany. Afterwards, while working in some of the finest restaurants in Virginia and the Triad, Mark’s true passion was realized and transpired into the goal of owning and operating a restaurant. Taking lessons from his youth, Mark insists on sustainability and openness while maintaining a high standard of excellence for patrons of Meridian.
